Milan Fashion Week Street Style

The two consistent trends that are incredibly obvious for Milan Street Style are kitschy, bold prints and pastels. Which makes sense because those are the obvious trends for this spring, but I love how the trends are depicted above. Like pastels mixed with pastels, head-to-toe matching prints, then the complete opposite with clashing prints (see picture above). I really love it all! It's brilliant because it's not safe. It's not wearing an intense print with the obvious corresponding color. It's bold and daring, which makes you more noticeable (in a good way if you pull it off).

Muse Monday: Lily Collins

Forever Young: Lily Collins

This week's Muse is actress Lily Collins. Right off the bat, I know you may be wondering why she's the Music Muse, but you may not know that this fashionista in the making is the daughter of singer Phil Collins. Collins stars in the Snow White adaptation Mirror Mirror alongside Julia Roberts next month. Another film Collins starred in was The Blind Side where she portrayed Sandra Bullocks daughter. Lily Collins' name now should be ringing a bell in your head, and I mean c'mon, did you really know that she was Phil Collins daughter? She's on the cover on Nylon Magazine this month where she reveals quite a few other interesting hobbies she's dabbled with including modeling (she's walked for Tommy Hilfiger), writing (she writes a column called 'LA Confidential' for Elle Girl UK) and interviewing (she's done interviews for Teen Vogue). Our muse is quite the chameleon in the fashion industry and with new blockbuster roles coming her way, Lily Collins is definitely the girl to be looking out for.

London Fashion Week Street Style Pt. 2

Last post for LDN street style! London seriously has some eccentric dressers. I love how all the girls in these pictures have such cool shoes! The shoes seriously make the outfit. So Milan Fashion Week is happening right now, be prepared for some awesome Miu Miu and Gucci!

UNIF Spring 2012

UNIF, probably my favorite brand, is back with their Spring 2012 look book. I hope a rad look book video will come soon, but the look book is pretty trippy. I don't know if they wanted it to be slightly 70s acid trip reminiscent, but the pics remind me of how heaven would look if I was super drunk: blurry, cloudy, pastels with UNIF.

Marni for H&M look book video

I LOVE this look book video! I usually love look book videos, but this is a pretty mellow video, very "let me go to a cafe on the French riviera" laid back feel, but what is so awesome about this video is the fact that it's directed by Sofia Coppola. I adore her. Therefore, I adore this video.

LFW Street Style Part 1

Some pics from London Fashion Week. A lot of pastels, florals and bright neons, which isn't too surprising. I love the picture of the girl in the fur cossack though. I just bought a Topshop one, and I'm still waiting to use it in this 75 degree LA weather.

London Fashion Week F/W 2012

McQ

Osman Yousefzada

Christopher Kane

Burberry Prorsum

Topshop Unique

I absolutely love London Fashion Week. I wish I could add more designers and their amazing, off-beat collections, but I'll keep it to my top 5. Most of the designers here are quite known, well, extremely known, but Osman Yousefzada is one name that you might not recognize, but his collection was probably my most favorite out of all of LFW. His collection was absolutely church-like: draping reminiscent of a nun, brocades that look like stained glass windows.....absolutely amazing. Check Osman Yousefzada out, he's definitely worth a look.
