Muse Monday: Suzy

Moonrise Kingdom

This week's Muse is the lovely character Suzy in Wes Anderson's film Moonrise Kingdom. I don't know if any of you saw it, but I did a while back and fell in love with the young depressed tween. She runs away with her love that she really only met once and they have a lovely two days together running from their problems and settling in a perfect little cove they named Moonrise Kingdom. Suzy is definitely not your average tween, preferring to read sci-fi and listening to Francois Hardy. Her style is definitely fearless, going partially nude to dance on the beach and a perfect peter pan collar dress that never seems to get dirty, despite constant camping and climbing. She's the girl everyone wishes they were growing up in the 70s and Suzy's stern stare and perfect clothes make her this week's Muse.

Muse Monday: Francois Hardy

Francois Hardy

This week's Muse in French songstress Francois Hardy. The iconic singer rose to fame in the 1960s with her sweet, lush songs and her innovative style. She is the epitome of French dressing with fur coats, little black dresses and classic trench coats. Nicolas Ghesquiere references her as an influence, Bob Dylan wrote a song about her, and this is our week's muse.
