Topshop; Topshop; Nasty Gal; Alice + Olivia; Asos; Rachel Comey

A trend that's been really popular for the past few months has been the circle skirt. Also called the skater skirt, it's probably the most flattering skirt for any shape or size. It sits high on the waist, which is perfect for crop top pairings, and immediately extends out, hiding any flaws you might have. It also accentuates your back side, if that's your thing. Anyways, Asos by far has the best selection, although I found quite a few at Topshop as well. The only one I have is a plain black one from Topshop. At only $30, it was definitely worth it. It's extremely easy to dress up or down and I can't reiterate enough how fucking flattering these things are!

Nasty Gal; Opening Ceremony; Dolls Kill; Rachel Zoe; UNIF

I think it was about last year when baseball caps started to become really popular. Its started with the designer versions, most notable was Prada's leather version. Then it started becoming more of a common street accessory beyond the kids that wear baggy pants. UNIF has a couple cool ones with funny slogans, Nasty Gal has some great cheap varieties and Opening Ceremony has really quirky and fun prints, although they're a bit higher priced. I've been meaning to buy one that I think I'd really wear. The UNIF one seriously captured my eye. And my wallet.

Lookbook: Anti-Prom

Nasty Gal has a really rad new lookbook called Anti-Prom. I never went to prom (for teenage rebellious reasons), so I can only assume that it's prom season. I love the girly outfits teamed with some edgy accessory. It's a perfect way to look unique with what may be a generic outfit. A harness, creepers or the perfect leather jacket can make you stand out. Shop and look at the rest of the lookbook HERE.

Lookbook: Loud and Clear

Nasty Gal has a new lookbook called "Loud and Clear." I love how the lookbook is completely black and white and far from boring. I'm so tired of seeing people dressed so plainly and boring. This whole lookbook has nothing but black and white and is some of the most unique and awesome styling I've seen in a while. Note to self: be more daring. Shop the lookbook HERE.

Lookbook: Pop Rocks

Nasty Gal has a new lookbook for January called Pop Rocks. It's extremely reminiscent of a Wasteland lookbook from a few months ago, but nevertheless, we still love it. Reminds me of those raver kids from the 90s, and we really can't get enough of this 90s trend going around. Clashing prints and still matching head-to-toe, the lookbook has a lot of styling brilliance in it. Shop the lookbook HERE.

a pop of leather

Topshop; UNIF; Nasty Gal; Sister Jane; Asos; Reverse; Theory

I  know a lot of magazines and publications always talk about adding a "pop of color." Well, what about a "pop" of leather? I've been seeing a lot of tough leather carefully (and successfully) added into a lot of lady like pieces. Or to just make an even tougher statement. Either way, I really love this trend and hope more of it "pops" up.

Nasty Gal Collection

So let me start off by massively apologizing for my absence on the blog. I know, not even a warning on the facebook page, which I usually promise to do. As you can imagine, this week has been brutally hectic and I'm barely now finding time to post. Once again, all will be back to normal by the weekend. Moving past that, Nasty Gal released their first official collection and it's pretty badass. By far, my favorite color is blush ( I know, really random) but that color always looks amazing with black, which is pretty much lining my closet. The collection, is mainly black and blush, so it's quite near and dear to my heart. I'm loving all the moto styles going on, including the fringe jacket in the last photo. I practically fainted when I saw it.

Lookbook: Wild Child

Nasty Gal has a new lookbook for their August campaign called Wild Child. Honestly, I don't show certain lookbooks every month unless I really love them. Well, I really love this one. I already have my eyes on the Jesus Saves cardigan as well as the leopard coat. They're both UNIF. I'm also madly in love with that sequin skirt.
