A couple of crazy/amazing accessories, all taken off the tumblr page. The 90s trend just keeps evolving, like at first it was very grunge, now it's very.....fuck I don't even know what to call it. But you know what I'm talking about. The bindi style face rhinestones, colored leopard print, clear backpacks, smiley faces and eyeballs on everything. If you still don't know what I'm talking about, google Chloe Norgaard or Niki Takesh and I'm pretty sure you'll get it. Still 90s though!

Lookbook: Los LAndia
Featuring some of my absolute favorite micro trends that I've been obsessing over, Wasteland's new lookbook is a grunge dream. Eyeballs, Bart Simpson, baseball caps and one of my favorite models, the whole lookbook sums up what LA is all about right now. Tattoo chokers and platform sneakers make the perfect accessories for a post-grunge look. Definitely diggin' this shit.

bartman
This week I just decided to use a couple of pictures from the tumblr page. Something interesting though, is I think Bart Simpson's face is starting to become a trend. It kind of started with the 90s trend, then Jeremy Scott featured the Bart Simpson print in his 2012 Fall collection. Now, however, I'm seeing Bart Simpson everywhere. Well, everywhere that matters.

DKNY X Opening Ceremony
It was announced a while back that Opening Ceremony would be collaborating with DKNY to bring back some of the brands early 90s pieces. The collection, which is a womens and unisex collection, was released late last week with Cara Delevigne starring in the lookbook. The collection has 14 items taken from DKNY collection from 1991-1994. All early 90s goodness. All of the pieces, except for one, are under $300, which is pretty moderate for an Opening Ceremony collaboration. Check out the entire collection HERE.

Lookbook: Pop Rocks
Nasty Gal has a new lookbook for January called Pop Rocks. It's extremely reminiscent of a Wasteland lookbook from a few months ago, but nevertheless, we still love it. Reminds me of those raver kids from the 90s, and we really can't get enough of this 90s trend going around. Clashing prints and still matching head-to-toe, the lookbook has a lot of styling brilliance in it. Shop the lookbook HERE.

choke
Topshop; The Cobrasnake; Wasteland; Delfina Delettrez
A huge grunge trend I've been seeing pop up are chokers. I have a few myself, and I'm starting to see a lot more people become less afraid of wearing this 90s trend. Chokers have been quite popular in the past few years, but not the type we've been seeing lately. As opposed to relaxed chokers that sit high on the collar bone, these are choker, chokers. Like, if it's a little too tight, you're gonna choke. Above are a few of my favorite, including designer Delfina Delettrez who I just discovered. I'll probably dedicate a post to her later this week.

i wanna party like it's 1999
Several photos from the past two weeks including some insane hologram sunglasses I scored on ebay, some even more rad vintage Bill Blass and Armani I scored at Goodwill, a pile of clothes on my bed while I was trying to decide what to wear on labor day (I had to remind myself it's not 1972), a sign at Space 15 Twenty and some nail art from the awesome ladies at Kleur. I booked an appointment with Kleur at their Space 15 Twenty location and paid $45 for this manicure set. Honestly, I think it's totally worth it. They normally charge $35, but I wanted a special set that cost more. It's awesome. I can't stop staring at my nails. And as I type this, my heart breaks a little at the thought that they typing will slowly chip away at the polish. Good thing I already booked my next appointment.

Look Book: UNIF "Poison Ivy"
My favorite brand UNIF has a new look book for this Summer called "Poison Ivy." Aptly named after the 90s film starring Drew Barrymore in which a psychotic blonde be-friends the new girl brunette and tries to become a part of the family. In a weird, twisted way of course. Anyways, long story short, the new look book features UNIF favorites like their classic sleeveless t's, motorcycle jackets, and always some amazing dresses. I've had my eyes on that harness dress and the second it's available on Karmaloop it's mine! The 90s are still full force this summer and UNIF is definitely paying their homage to the trend.

do a dollop of daisy
Dolce Vita dress; Karlie Kloss in Free People; Motel blouse; Forever 21 bustier; Topshop shorts; Gaia head piece
So a new trend I've been seeing lately, which stays with the 90s trend, is daisy print. It's this season's take on the never ending floral trend, and I've been really loving it. Sometimes it can be prim and proper, or it can be kitschy and even grunge-y. Not to mention Karlie Kloss was photographed in Free People's Daisy Dress, and anything Karlie Kloss wears matters.
