The show I look forward to the most out of all the Fashion Weeks has been Saint Laurent. Ever since they dropped the "Yves" and appointed Hedi Slimane as their designer, I've been in love with the collections. It isn't, however, the traditional Yves Saint Laurent everyone has been used to, but at the same time, what do you expect from Hedi Slimane? The new collection did have some lovely leather pieces and is much more androgynous than past collections, but overall, last season was better. And the season before that.

Muse Monday: Rita Ora
This week's Muse is the lovely singer Rita Ora. I'll be totally honest, I'd never actually heard a song by Rita Ora until I got my Elle issue this month with her on the cover. I have, however, seen Rita Ora all over the place for at least a year. She first landed on my radar because of her BFF Cara Delevingne. After that, she became a muse to one of my favorite designers Hedi Sliman, right when he came out with his first Saint Laurent collection. The last thing that made me solidify the idea of making her on the blogs Muses was two weeks ago when she was seen at Coachella in all UNIF. If Cara and Hedi adore her, and she adores UNIF, Ora's got what it takes to be our Muse.

Saint Laurent F/W 2013
When you have a girl like Sky Ferreira be the new face of your new brand, you're obviously trying to convey something. Hedi Slimane debuted his first collection for Saint Laurent last season to a lot of negative reviews. I loved the collection, nay, adored and obsessed over it. It's definitely nothing I've seen from the brand before. This season, I'm obsessing even more over. It's a complete 180 from Yves Saint Laurent. I have no idea what the heads of the company expected when they hired Slimane, a designer known for pissing people off and dressing rockstars like Pete Doherty. The collection shocked all the critics, and although some negative reviews have been said, most of them are silent. Which, might be worst? Eh.
FYI no post tomorrow.

saint laurent
I don't know if you heard, but a while back, the iconic label Yves Saint Laurent announced they were dropping the Yves from the label name. Don't know why, but I'll just roll with it. Following their new name debut, Yves Saint Laurent is now debuting a new face for their brand. Our favorite grunge singer Sky Ferreira is the star of their new image and their new lookbook. Kind of channeling Abby Lee Kershaw's many tilted heads, Ferreira is decked in black head-to-toe Parisian chic. Which, naturally, we completely adore. We didn't think Sky Ferreira could get any more desirable.
