After a long break, we're back with Muse Monday. It's definitely one of the more difficult posts, but definitely one of the funnest. This week's Muse is model and singer Karen Elson. She has a show this week in LA supporting her first and last album The Ghost Who Walks, and she will undoubtedly play new material. Elson is much more famous as a model, starring in campaigns for St. John and Lanvin. Elson was also married to Jack White, although their relationship came to an end last year. Elson reminds me a lot of Florence Welch, with porcelain skin and fiery red hair, but Elson is much more elegant and her musical style is different. If you like Florence Welch, though, you'll definitely like Elson's music. Her album is full of folk-ish backgrounds that clash perfectly with her haunting howls and deep vocals.
